Harry and Jacquie Brunjes have considerable experience renovating properties. Their previous home, Ovingdean Grange was completely derelict when they brought it in 1993 without even a roof. They sold it in 2011 after many happy years as the main family home.
Folkington Manor has been their most ambitious project. The manor was in need of a new roof, new electricity supply, new plumbing and general modernisation. This was undoubtedly the biggest project the Brunjes had tackled.
The aim was to restore this beautiful historic house which is grade two star listed, building to becoming an environmentally friendly and ergonomically efficient home for the 21st century On buying the property in 2010 a major restoration project commenced, it took three years to complete the main Manor House and East Lodge, and work still continues.
The grounds have received much needed maintenance to restore them to their former glory, and in 2017 a new garden was installed. Plans are now under discussion to complete the restoration of the outbuildings.
